On Telerama, Stuart Baker talks Black Action Films of the early 70s that gave the Hollywood industry its first African-American cinema as it discussed aspects of the African-American experience – political, social, racial – in the form of entertainment. Stuart Baker comments for us 3 major films of the time – “Shaft” (1971), “Superfly” (1972), and “Foxy Brown” (1974).
We are very excited to announce that Soul Jazz Records will be releasing Four Tet’s “Nothing To See” and Mala’s “Don’t Let Me Go” at the end of July on a 12″ single!!! Both tracks are taken from Soul Jazz Records’ forthcoming compilation “Future Bass” due September 2010!
