The debut 12" from L.A futurist Afterhours on the ever-brilliant Not Not Fun, after a calendar year of altered state incubation via their live weekly radio transmission,“Field Recordings Of The Afterhours,” broadcast from KCHUNG’s Chinatown basement headquarters. Inspired equally by Mo’ Wax obscurities, sound poetry, Art Of Noise, anime depictions of neo-futurist Tokyo, and DJ Shadows debut "Endtroducing".
Opening with Vangelis-esque "Sleepwalker", moving on the abstracted trip-hop / witch house of "4 am on the local 83" that will si nicely with Clams Casino fans, to the dubby Echospace-style rumblings of "Salt On The Wound" and finishing futurist, hazy beatspace, "that dream about '97".
