    Absolutely essential obscure Soul rarity reissued by the excellent Numero!

    Originally recorded in 1979 - by a band who were behind bars, serving sentences of six to sixty years inside a rural Virgina penitentiary.

    'Eyes Of Love' is comprised of distant love ballads and fanciful odes to freedom. The album is a prison letter, composed by committee, recorded hastily, and circulated regionally by sympathetic listeners willing to take a chance on these felonious talents. 

    The title track 'Eyes Of Love' was also brilliantly sampled by Brother Of Soul back in 1998 on Guidance Recordings.
