Holly Herndon's debut! Experimental elecronic music that draws across Avant-Garde modern classical and electro-acoustic composition, while keeping firm roots in club music.

The debut offering of material by the young musician, 'Movement' hybridises her modern composition training with her undying devotion to club music. The influences of sound artist Maryanne Amacher and singular Russian composer Galina Ustvolskaya are as prevalent in Herndon’s music as Finnish electronic group Pan Sonic or the British Murder Boys' 90s techno output - but crucially, and in line with pop deconstructionists Laurie Anderson and Art of Noise, 'Movement' exceeds these niches.
