Championed early likes of tastemaker Gilles Peterson and Tyler The Creator, supremely talented young Toronto-based trio BadBadNotGood challenge the rule book on improvised instrumental music and have spiralled jazz tradition into the future. Bubbling over the last few months with remixes of Madlib & Freedie Gibbs, and Ghostface Killah, BadBadNotGood -- dubbed the "Odd trio" -- not your ordinary three piece. On "III" they explore the marriage between jazz virtuosity and hip hop source material.
