      Better known for his classic Blue Note sessions of the mid 1960s and his pioneering fusion work with Larry Youngs Fuel, Larry Young got his start by cutting three albums for the Prestige New Jazz series in the early 60s. Young Blues features a rhythm trio of Thornell Schwartz on guitar, Wendell Marshall on bass, and  drummer  Jimmie Smith.
