      Magic Sam played the clubs of Chicago's West side and was gaining wider recognition when he died at the age of 32 in 1969, since when he has acquired almost mythical status. This was his last studio session and only his second LP – a masterclass in the regeneration of Chicago blues with a high-class band: Mighty Joe Young, guitar; Lafayette Leake, piano; Eddie Shaw, tenor sax; Mack Thompson, bass and Odie Payne Jr, drums
