When the debut album of vibist-composer Walt Dickerson (b. 1931) appeared in 1961, it was considered a somewhat radical work. His first album, long deleted until now, remains among his most rewarding with Austin Crowe, Bob Lewis, Andrew Cyrille. Spiritual, deep, ahead of its time - check out Death and Taxes.
